Waiting

Waiting is a fully funded low-budget feature film initiative designed to support emerging filmmakers in creating their first feature-length project.

This initiative provides young aspiring filmmakers with the unique opportunity to take part in every stage of the production process, from development through to post-production and distribution.

Beyond delivering a completed film, the project is structured as a career-launching platform: offering mentorship, industry-standard training, and practical exposure that significantly enhances employability within the film and TV sector.

Get That Novel Started

We are proud to support a new project at Newcastle City Library this September, which consists of four interactive 2-hour workshops.  The project is designed to help aspiring writers take the first steps toward their novel, and will guide participants through key aspects of novel writing, including idea generation, character development, genre, plotting, and structure.

This initiative aims to give new writers the confidence and skills to start and progress with their novel ideas.

Superfan

"Superfan" is a documentary that follows one fan's journey to their first convention, exploring the excitement and personal connections that fandoms create. Through interviews with fans from various communities, the film delves into the power of fandoms, how they shape identities, and the deep impact they have on individuals' lives.

From shared passions to lifelong friendships, "Superfan" showcases how these communities offer a sense of belonging and influence, celebrating the unique bond that fans share with their favourite worlds.

Community Screenwriting

4-week screenwriting course designed for beginners eager to write scripts for community films and social issues.

It teaches the basics of storytelling, structure, and character development while exploring how to address impactful topics to craft into compelling narratives that spark change and bring communities together through film.

Neurodiverse Writers Workshop

The workshops are a welcoming space for neurodivergent writers to come together, share experiences, and build confidence in navigating a film and TV industry that often centres neurotypical norms.

Participants learn practical tools for developing projects, pitching ideas, and sustaining their practice, while also connecting with a community that values authenticity, collaboration, and diverse voices. Here, neurodiversity isn’t a barrier, it’s just a different way to communicate original storytelling.
